Norah Jones blew everybody away with her jazzy, country-tinged, Grammy-winning debut CD, Come Away with Me. On this recording, Jones doesn't mess with her trademark formula. Under Arif Mardin's cozy coproduction, Jones is supported by her writing partners, her Handsome Band, and some special guests (country legend Dolly Parton, Levon Helm and Garth Hudson of the Band, and jazz drummer Brian Blade, to name a few). Jones's Texas-twanged vocals and her sparse acoustic and electric Wurlitzer piano lines enliven the CD's 13 tracks, from the light and lively single "Sunrise" to Tom Waits's "The Long Way Home" and the bouncy duet with Parton, "Creepin' In." Jones's soul-baring piano/vocal rendition of Duke Ellington's "Melancholia," retitled "Don't Miss You at All," proves she's a true Blue Note artist with unlimited potential. --Eugene Holley Jr.

Norah Jones Feels Like Home CD2010-02-285 / 5
Love this cd but its just more wonderful songs in her wonderful style. Not like her new 2010 cd but just as enjoyable.
    Good music2010-02-194 / 5
Feels like home is a good CD, lots of nice sounding laid back tunes. Not as good as her first CD though. Not far behind either. Her next CD "not too late" was much weaker than the first two making each release weaker and weaker. I havn't checked out the new one yet "the fall" after her last one "not too late" I'm not sure if I'm interested.
    Very nice follow-up album2010-02-164 / 5
This is an excellent follow-up to her monster debut album. Norah fans like me already own it so there is no need to address them here. Potential new fans that are interested in sampling her music should go to her debut album first, then this one. Her latest, "The Fall", is also very good. I'm not sure the song has been written yet that properly showcases her amazing voice, but there are a couple of songs on this album that do it justice. "What Am I to You", "In the Morning", "Toes" and "Above Ground" are all excellent. When I am in the mood for Norah's music, this is the album I reach for first.
    Too country for me2009-12-253 / 5
A good album and shows her versatility, but a little too country for me. I prefer the jazz overtones and harmonies.
    Good music, lazy recording effort2009-12-193 / 5
Compared to her first CD, it is obvious the producers and sound recording techs did a poor job. You can hear the microphone stand vibrate in the last two tracks, and most tracks the microphone Norah uses distorts. The post-mix production is average and doesn't make use of good stereo effects. Again, I'm comparing back to back with her first album which is reference audiophile quality.

However, I do like the music and it will make a good casual CD to listen to.
